A delegation representing the North Africa regional office of the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) arrived Friday in Boujdour, in a visit to the Sahrawi Republic.

The visit comes within the framework of follow-up and evaluation visits for health programs at the African Union level, as well as to assess the main challenges in various health programs and to strengthen cooperation between the regional office and the Sahrawi Ministry of Public Health.

The African delegation was received at the wilaya of Boujdour by the governor, Dih Mohamed Shaddad, and members of the regional council.

The governor welcomed the members of the African delegation and provided explanations about the main health programs, as well as other services.

The field visit will enable the delegation to find out about the Sahrawi experience in disease prevention, vaccination, health awareness, the health statistics system, and the exchange and sharing of health information.

The Delegation also visited some health institutions and met with various Sahrawi officials.
